Go take a look at Major Craft's OFFBLOW series @ Deepsea or the Mebius range @ AO

Yes AO is renovating. What about Shimano's Jig Wrex PE3 series? They're pretty decent too

Personally, I think it would be better to use a lighter outfit for jigging in that area. The fishing pressure has been tremendous over the last couple of years and the ebeks and benangs are definitely leader shy. I think a PE 0.8-2 rod would be ideal with max jig weight about 80-90g. Think the jig wrex pe 3 and 4500 sized reels are kinda big.

Jigwrex PE 3 or your size 3500 reel might have been too stiff and heavy for those waters.. IMO, light jigging in shallow waters would be ideal if your rods are those which are releatively soft and light and a small reel that can hold ard 200m of PE1.5-2, alot easlier when you do the retieving by twitching and jerking your wrist like how we work big lures, just that we retieve them alot faster with jigs.. maybe you wanna look at Majorcraft OffBlow or a Zenith Zero Shiki if on budget or get someone to ship in a nice SW65M GUSA blank if you like to customised your rod.. managed to play ard with a couple of small doggies and some ruby snappers on it during one of my recent trip (not recommended due to deep waters, more suitable for water that are lesser then 40-50m) but it did managed survived the trip nicely...

Cheers
Mark

Hi,

GUSA sw65m out of stock, other option you can try is UR65M blank available in sabre. Bare in mind it takes about 1 month to customise your rod. Zenith is ready make, you can try AO.
Hope this helps,

Cheers,

Isn't there a saying that goes like this: "All good things come to those who wait."
