    Re: Mc Works jigging Rods

    Hi Abdel,

I don't own a southern deep but have pulled on one. It is a rigid fast response blank for deep jigging. I believe it may contain some glass content making it different from the "new carbon" rods like the Synit Venoms which use a fine off-axis material.

MC Works basically has 2 classes of rods. Real Fusion & Omasa are more for Hiramasa and Buri in shallower waters- these rods are good for slower one pitch jerks and are more of medium action rods, response is necessarily slower to accommodate for fluttering jigs. Akabara & southern deep on the other hand have a different taper and are better for speed jigging in deep waters targeting BIG amberjacks, doggies etc.

    cheers!
