I reckon the Torsa 20 is still not quite there yet as a jig reel in terms of balance and weight, but bottom bashing should be just about right.... Watch out for the right hand spool bearing, I changed one out for a friend a few weeks ago. Regards, Saimee

Firstly, I got it wrong, it wasn't the spool bearing (DUH!!) it was the pinion gear bearing. I usually keep an eye out for the first thing to break on "new" reels and in the case of this Torsa 30, it was that bearing. Upon disassembly, it looked like it was a bit susceptible to water intrusion, but hey, the same goes for other reels... Strangely enough some of the other bearings that I would have thought as being more vulnerable, were in fact just fine. Just a heads up. Regards, Saimee
