Try and get hold of some Japanese jigging VCDs buddy. We can talk about this until the cows come home but you'll still be at a lost. :P Easiest way though, would be to crank as fast as you can... most primitive but works well.

Civic, if you know "Dogtooth Tuna style" ... you could apply it for jigging as well... so far when i used that method in local water ... i managed to land some nice bulat (trevally).

Cheers,
Edy

Hi civic
Your sea rod is meant for overhead reel rite???
Actually all reels can be used for jigging depending on the speed of the reel.....
I think U better stick to your sea rod for jigging cos a 10ft rod is too long for jigging......Best length is 5ft to 5'6ft......
The reason why pp used soft rod for jigging is that it will absorded the stress when jigging.....
Conpaired with using a stiff rod ,U will have a hard time jigging.....
Correct me if I am wrong

Cheers
Jason
