Hi Mark,

I think it happens during fighting of a fish ... I brought the broken rod back to AO and paid about Sing$200 to get it replaced and was told by Benji i that it was caused by high sticking and that caused the rod to broke.

I quite like this rod even tho it is fairly stiff

Best Regards,
Edy

Hi Edylie,

please excuse me for bringing the topic back and for my ignorance....., from the pics above I still can't figure out which part the broken area is. Is it between the 1st and 2nd guide from butt/reel seat, or where...?

This is very interesting to me 'coz I have both BX57 and BX58. Was it true because of high sticking, in your opinion ? What was happened exactly, would you mind to share the tale ?

rgds,
Lod.

Hi Lod,

I think the breakage is caused by the high sticking ... (was explained by Benji from AO)

It was the 3rd guide from the tip of the rod if i remember correctly.

If you like Genesis rod, you might want to check out the Amberjack Special ... it is much better than the BX series IMO.

Cheers,
Edy

Ahh....okay, thank's !

Amberjack Special ? From Genesis Ocean Craft, is it ? Oh, so they're actually different blanks.... I tot it comes from the same blank.
I had many jigging rods already....., maybe some other times....

rgds,
Lod.
