Depth of 300ft

Hi guys,

am invited to go on a trip where the water depth is about 300ft and jigging equipments is required.

I do not have any setup now suitable for jigging, what would be the required equipments to start looking for?

Get a Ocea Jigger 4000P + Genesis Amberjack Special PE4-7 should do the job

Yes I have been there before.

We have caught quite a number of Jahan (Big Catfish) hehehehe... and 1 decent size grouper...

The set which i mentioned is more than enough for that place. Anyway do not have high expectation on that area

That will probably make me think twice about hopping onto the trip....quite a distance to travel to catch "Jahans".....

Hi Guys,

Another question.....
There are so many types of jigs available in the market...for vertical jigging and cast & retrieve method, can i use the same jig? or there is different jigs to consider?

300' is almost 100m so you should consider fast sinking models like the long Jig Ace (AO) or the Duel Tamentai. These are the fastest sinking jigs I've tried so far.
