Hey Angoli, think you better get rid of the JigHunter fast... or get a back up reel!

Angkoli,
The design of the reel is such that it is "noisy" by default. I am surprised you did not notice the "noise" before you bought it?
Maybe you never open and try it?
This place is meant for sharing and caring. Chill it.

Yikes,
Looking at the AR dog design shown in the link, it would be next to impossible to silence the dogs using the grease method. In the smaller AVETs like the MX, the dogs reside in their own little compartment and putting grease in there usually works, but the ATC dogs just sit in the sideplate, so putting loads of grease would splatter big time.
I also note with great concern that the dogs shown look worn already and worse still, they have holes drilled thru them effectively reducing the strength of the dog body considerably... bad engineering there. The dogs also look to be made of brass or bronze, I think that last time I saw that was in an ancient Penn Senator 114, maybe the AR gear is also made of brass.
So I guess, you are stuck with the noise ACL dude, I have a Tiburon and AVET EX which are noisy enough to wake the dead, but somehow, my kakis seem to be able to sleep through it.... in fact, one of the guys says its reassuring to here the racket and know that someone is awake in the boat just in case a big container vessel on autopilot with a sleepy helmsman is on a direct path with the boat at night.... it has happened twice now...scary stuff.
Y'all hang loose there dude...
