Rep Power: 4 ![]() | Assistance needed Hi guys, I'm going on a fishing trip at this paticular area which has been constantly producing pelagic like yellow fins tunas, marlins, dogtooth and so on. We would like to target the yellow fins and would appreciate any tips on the kind jigs preferred by these cows. Thanks. Regards physlo |

My Mood: Rep Power: 6 ![]() ![]() | Hi Physlo, Check out this link: http://www.noreast.com/discussion/To...fm?forum_ID=35 Noreast jig/pop board maintained by KilSong, lots of info for jigging YellowFin Tuna and BFT. Kilsong must be one of the most successful YFT jiggers today. Not much on Dogtooth Tuna jigging though! tight lines |

| Super Moderator | Hey Edros if you want YellowFin Tuna, go stock up on Yo-Zuri Metallic Sardines. My friend Ksong has caught heaps of YFT on the Metallic Sardines. Sea Tackle has the widest range of colors but price is quite steep. If you have time to hunt around you'll find some cheaper deals |

I guess i can only fish there tonight when i am dreaming For YellowFin Tuna, you could use white rabbit jig!!! ... no joke it works well ... small profile jigs works very well too. You might want to equip yourself a light popping gear using Yo Zuri small popper - Orange color preferred. Cheers, Edy | |

Rep Power: 4 ![]() | Mike, Metallic sardines are expensive lah but will get one or two. Thanks bro. Edy, This is an exploration trip. Hopefully the fishing is as good as it sounds. But then we might end up with none. I will get some white rabbits as well but what are the colours to look for? Regards physlo |

Rep Power: 4 ![]() | Ok...got a few more jigs yesterday to bring on this trip. Mostly yozuri metallic sardine II from 80 to 200gm. How about the sevenseas look alike sold at Deep Sea. Can't remember the name. I'm now looking for the all lumo types. 3 weeks to go. Hopefully this could be a trip of a life time for us. |

| Super Moderator | Hooker lookalikes? OK Jig you mean? Yeah buy some of those too. These are the minnows I was telling you about Edros... bring some. http://www.tacklehouse.co.jp/more/shibuki/shibuki.html http://www.tacklehouse.co.jp/more/works/works.html http://www.tacklehouse.co.jp/saltwater/bo/bo.html It can be frustrating to chase tuna boils because they simply refuse every jig/popper you cast out. When that happens, cast out a minnow and that might just catch their attention |
