New Accurate Twin-Spin 30!
Finally! After months of waiting the new Accurate Twin-Spin reels are almost available. We have been reassured that the new reels will be here prior to Christmas. We had the opportunity to play with one last week. In one word, SWEET! Since the introduction at the Fred Hall Show last March folks have absolutely been salivating for these much anticipated reels. Accurate slowed production, allowing for more evaluation, more fishing hours on the reels and some enhancements. There will be three reels in the series, but the first one is the model that most folks have had their eye on. We have held several orders for these reels, awaiting production, for well over six months time! FINALLY they are coming...

Enter the 2006 Accurate TwinSpin 30: the sportfishing world’s first, true dual- drag, ocean spinning reel with a braking system applying equal braking pressure to both sides of the reel spool. Never has a spinning reel had the benefit of this kind of power, this kind of drag performance. The Twin-Spin is a true twin drag design. The reels are made from 6061 billet machined aluminum, spool, body and rotor. They use 14 ABED 5 stainless steel bearings, TITANIUM friction washers, and stainless steel gears. The 30 will hold 325 yards of 30# mono or 500 yards of 65# Spectra.

Externally, the TwinSpin 30 offers a quick-change spool capability with a drag pre-set knob located on the top of the spool. By using the drag registration lines found encircling the spool top, drag pressure can be precisely adjusted. Since the patented TwinDrag mechanism of the TwinSpin 30 is retained within the spool, optional spools with lines varying in breaking strengths can be quickly and easily switched without having to readjust the drag settings with each spool change. Line disengagement and pickup is via a rugged, manual bail mechanism. An ergonomically designed power knob conforms naturally to the shape of an angler’s hand.

There has never been a spinning reel like the Accurate Twin-Spin, never. Never so much power, drag capability, casting proficiency, all rolled up into a spinning reel capable of taming such large fish. For tossing live bait, smaller 'denes or 'chovies, artificials or plugs this reel will put some meat on the table or treat you to some great catch and release fishing. It's going to set some records, that's a given.

Twinspin 30 USD$899.95

The reel looks very sexy ...

For those who have tested this reel, please provide your feedbacks.

I am working on my armors for upcoming trips (Sabah (Jan) and Spratly (March) )

Cheers,
Edy

Sabah during Jan?? tot its still monsoon?

btw, given the 2 locations that you'll be going to, i suggest you get youself a jigging reel instead, from what the spec read, it looks to me as more a popping then jigging reel... unless accurate had already managed to fine tune its gearing to then extend that its high speed ratio reel can chank heavy jigs from deep.

oh..btw, did anyone heard something abt bent shaft or something prior to its launch???

Mark,

Yes it is still monsoon but we are going to fish in some places which are sheltered from Monsoon. Also the fishing ground itself is from Kudat onward.

Cheers,
Edy

Edy dude,

Don't mess with the monsoon dude, we had a guys with a 23 foot boat have it flipped in some heavy waves 3 days ago..... we found him the next day, still alive.... more pilot error than anything and a lack of local knowledge since the area he capsized in was not a good place to run with big waves...

Kudat side should be shielded from Western winds dude, but I reckon NE and E winds can still getcha there... good luck, with the weather so crazy right now, maybe you will run into a window with swimming pool seas.

Regards,

DFM

P.S..... yes I know I sometimes make a run in less than ideal weather but believe me when I say that I check every resource before running out.

This spinning babe looks so solid, awesome.
I read that this reel pass through all the extreme hardcore testing and about the bent shaft I think just an incident only. Do anyone know how much it cost in SGD? SGD1700?

P/S: Edy, pls put on the life jacket during the Sabab trip on Jan06 ya.

DFM,

Yeah man ... i am totally agreed with you regarding the weather. Usually i am those safety first before anything else. But since a friend has been fishing there for sometime and told us it is possible to fish without hitting by the weather thus i agreed on this trip.

If the weather is bad when i am in Kudat, i will do what i did last time.... Go hiking (Mount Kinabalu)

Cheers,
Edy
