Somehow I still like the retro bail-less look. But this would be a much better choice for actual fishing applications

Sure hope they have colours other than the gold!!!

With the addition of the bailarm & a rather substantial albeit funky looking rotor, wonder how the balance of the reel is like with such a puny body.

Stickbom, how's the cranking power of the Van Staal? I believe you owned & fished with one before.

They crank great cos they also pick up line reeeeeal slow :P I had three of them some time back. Strike toto must keep a silver 150 bail-less version as display item.
