IMO, sounds okie. but often, many would says TICA builts isnt tat gd leh cos made in china (if not wrong) . Sad to say after sale value also so so. Tats the lesson i learnt from Malaysia brand Toman under TCE.

Many mights says branded lalso got made in china/ malaysia wat. Yes I agree, but most would still rather take made from US. or Japan. QC & better built I guess.

but don quote me, it might turn out to be a gd one too.: rolleyes:

Can't go wrong with the Penn 113HN. Personally I'd give the Tica a pass

Me too think that Penn 113HN is better , but i notice from the tackle shop at Beach Road that the new shipment of the Penn reel not orginally make in USA. Got to look carefully if buying Penn Reel.

Thumbs down Re: Team tica st16

I don't have any experience using offshore Tica reels but I've used the smaller Tica spinning reels that are their top of the range but have found them wanting. The drags on the reels suck big time and even after modding the drag, I felt disappointed with its performance....on more than a few models. Personally, I won't purchase another Tica reel in future.
