actually i know nuts abt surfcasting and i dun use rod longer 8.6ft either but your 300lbs mono and 380g casting weight really caught my eyes, you mean there is anyone that cast with a 300lbs mono as main line? i'm seriously impressed man..

I've heard only one man who had 200lb-400lb on a multiplier and he was casting 150-200g poppers but I haven;t seen it with my own eyes!

I was impressed too when I saw this rod on plat! This rod spec sound equivalent to a purglas!

These are not Surf(Nage) rods, these are ISO rods to target Ishidai and other heavy bottom fishes, they are not "cast" far distances, rather they are fish on the rocks by lobbing the baits not too far away........The high poundage is used more for line abrasion resistance more than anything else.....
