Saimee.
Hi Saimee,

Have written to Shimano and they have confirmed that the handle of the OJ4000 with T-Bar willl fit the TN40 without any modifications.
It is a direct fit.
Many thanks for your trouble trying to help me with my little problem.

Cheers!

Hi Saimee,

May I know what are the exact parts to order should I attempt to replace the gears of the TN40 with the gears from the OJ4000P/5000P?

Many Thanks in Advance!

Cheers!

Re: So Similar!

Sorry dude,

By Mikey, I meant none other than our own moderator Stickbom.

In any case, I can list the reel model number and part numbers from the schematics. You can use either the OJ4000P or OJ5000P gears.

For this thread, I'll just list the parts from the OJ5000P schematics which you can find at http://www.fishingouting.com/forums/...&d=1150359591:

Reel Type = Ocea Jigger 5000P [5-RH30 5000 (I think)]
Reel Schematic No. 01749

1x Pt 43 = Pinion Gear
1x Pt 100 = Main Gear

2x Pt 97 = Eared Metal Drag Washer
2x Pt 98 = Metal Drag Washer (Square Hole)
1x Pt 29 = Top Metal Drag Washer

3x Pt 96 = Dartanium Drag Washer
1x Pt 106 = Dartanium Drag Washer
1x Pt 99 = Dartanium Drag Washer

You might not actually need Pt 29 as it might be the same size as the OJ5000/4000 washer, but might as well play safe. Just do a direct swap. I believe that the size of the stock Dartanium washer under the main gear (Pt 35) will be the same.

Hope that helps.

Regards,

Saimee

Re: So Similar!

Hi Saimee,

Many many thanks!! Really appreciate your reply...
Sorry about not knowing Mikey = stickbom!
I see it is really a direct swop as per the T-bar assembly that I have done.
Next thing is to get the parts.....

Cheers!
