Guys, to protect those unshielded bearings, try Super Lube's PTFE based Precision Oiler. It comes in a pen like tube and clings onto bearings much better than regular stuff

SUPER LUBEŽ is a patented 100% synthetic, non-toxic lubricant with SYNCOLONŽ (PTFE). A long lasting protective grease that will not drip, run or evaporate. SUPER LUBEŽ protects whatever surface it covers from dirt and corrosives (such as salt water), and is unaffected by extremes of temperatures. It is biodegradable, non-toxic, stainless, and harmless to fabric, leather, rubber, plastic, wood or painted surfaces.
To Order, Click on the Item Number.

Precision Oiler is on the extreme left of this image-> http://precisionreloading.com/_borders/Sppdt.jpg

Think I last saw this product at one of those Home Fix outlets

guys, dunno u pp know about this. nv use wd40 for your bearing. use for cleaning ok but must wipe clean after that. metal coated with wd40 for over a long period, it will eat into the metal.

Contrary to popular belief, WD40 is actually a corrosive agent, NOT a lubricant. That is why it is used to loosen ceased/ frozen metal parts e.g. rusted nut & bolt assembly. If it can "eat" into rust & free frozen parts, imagine what it can do under prolonged exposure. If I am not mistaken, WD40 has been banned by the RASF & SIA engineering because it will corrode the rubber or plastic sheath of electrical wiring.

If you search the net, you will find that in the US, WD40 is considered effective when sprayed on baits targetting catfish. Go figure
