Re-birth of my old Safari.

Bought this 2nd hand reel from a fellow forummer last year and decide to give it a makeover since there were some unsightly scratches.

Saimee,
This is the end result. I'm now trying out on some of the rods. Will let you know in due course.

Cheers!

Forget green mate.....go orange.....its the new black.....

Got a friend who has gotten rid of the blue paint on his certate 4000 and just buffed it up to chrome colour.
Might get him to colour my 6000GT Sunburst Orange

Guys,

Not a limited edition Safari lah . It's done by a friend of mine who's a full time spray painter at a aviation company. The paint used was of high quality from the states. A well done job don't you think so?

Cheers!

Wahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha hahahahahahahahahahahahaha........ :P :P :P

Lemme get the tears out of my eyes..... hehehehe....

Thanks for the laugh, I really needed one this morning.

Dros,

The finish looks reallllyyyy coollll..... ask your friend if clear coat will adhere well to an anodised aluminium surface, if it does, I wanna coat all the external surfaces of a reels spool, especially those prone to corrosion bits under the my spectra/braid.

Thats what I call a rejuvenated reel dude... limited Physlo Edition Ryobi.

Saimee

Saimee,

If you are talking about have a layer of paint on the spool, it won't work bro. Some how, corrosion will still finf it's way on the spool. I think we have no choice but to strip line after a few outings. Like Maikara mentioned, a coat of reel-x will help a bit.

Mike,
Cannot like that lah...nabei, wait we kenna sue how? Selling off all your Stellas won't be enough to pay the summons..hahahahahaha.
