Mike ,

The one you called SW series is actually HYBRID series with woven graphite at the butt and linear graphite in the middle with fiberglass top part while the real SW is nothing more than GL2 .

The HYBRID has been discontinued and I think G Loomis has no more offshore blank to offer , they seem to concentrate in casting/spinning n flyfishing blanks with GL2 , GL3 , IMX and GLX which they change the names and colour as marketing gimmicks .

Daniel Lum should be able to tell you all which is what .

Jon .

The first G. Loomis Hybrids were maroon / brown in colour, same two texture finish, but glossy throughout the entire blank if I remember correctly. They had a problem with the finish as the glossy coat started to peel off for some of the blanks after a while. They then changed it to grey -- shiny cross-weave butt merging into matte grey. The SW's were always matte black, similar to the GL3 & IMX.

Uncle... those maroon stuff you're talking about impossible to get liao lar... probably need to dig it up from graveyard :P Some crazy fisherman might have buried em with him

I had a HB60XH or XXH once upon a time. Had it configured for Spin jigging :P Think I used it on Komodo Jon's boat once before leylonging it away. My black GL3 came from ol motor-mouth... he sold one to me at $70. Pretty good deal
