Slick,
What Chris recommanded 4-5kg drag is just nice for them. Using scale or weighing machine to pull line out through your rod and you got the reading where line slip out. Make sure your rod bend.

Bond,
Don't worry, I got another trip on Sep, if member put "aeroplane" then you can join us.

Hi Slick,
think u don't put the drag too high, maybe 2 to 3 kg....
better to play lah. Also let the drag run-in.

Sieow liao,

last night tested my SX and found out that at strike only 7 lbs
and sunset only 11 lbs MAX.....this is tested with a scale directly
out from the reel without rod. The drag knob was turn to full!!
Anyone care to tell me how to get the strike of 9 lbs and 16 lbs max???

As stated in Avet website??? Read somewhere, someone tested more than that...about 12 lbs and 22 lbs max leh. Thks.

Cheers

try adjusting the pre-set knob at the side of the reel (the nut that comes with numbering 1-10 which is also used to tighten your drag lever).

cheers
