Re: Daiwa spare parts....

1 way is to sell away the reel and get a Accurate or a Shimano.. another is to go to the local companies that sells O seal, i'm sure you'll get one that fits the one you broke.. but if for some reason you can find one that fit, then refer to method 1...

Re: Daiwa spare parts....

Jason,

AO should have no problems sourcing Daiwa parts for you. They have done so for me in the past. They may even have the o-ring seal there already.

Regards,

Saimee

Re: Daiwa spare parts....

Yo Les

I think its more of a careless mistake than a common problem....

Still a great reel to use...

Re: Daiwa spare parts....

Hi,

Regretably I had to deal with Daiwa spares! I was looking for spares for my Caldia kix, they are cheap in Sg! Unfortunately I got a quote too late before I got in touch with Daiwa USA. What I paid in america for these parts are shocking!!!!

Anyway, they were helpful to find the parts for me.

If you can't get the parts in SG, I'll send you a contact via P.M for Diawa USA. They will look for the parts and order for you and kindly enough to send it.

Cheers

JT

Re: Daiwa spare parts....

Last 2 days I asked a JB tackle shop as I sourcing my daiwa spare spool. They told me Tce Sport seldom have spare parts and they cant confirm the part's price. Only when the parts arrived fr Japan than only know the pricing...
If SG can get the Daiwa's spare parts easily, pls let me know. Thk..

Re: Daiwa spare parts....

I broke a rubber seal on the main drive shaft of a Saltiga SA30. It is very easy to do, when servicing this reel.

I sent several e-mail requests to the Daiwa importers in NZ asking them to obtain a new seal and never received a reply. Absolutely useless. Not to mention that the price of the Saltiga reels in this country are ridiculously expensive. If I didn't love the Saltiga reels so much I'd give Daiwa a wide berth. The Saltiga "Z" series are not available here.

Luckily for me the seal doesn't appear to be a critical part and doesn't appear on the latest schematic for this reel so I guess Daiwa have done away with it.
