I'd like to get some ideas for rod and reel...I'm Greek so I'll fish in the mediterranean Sea.I'm totally new to jigging.The fish I hope to target on is Grouper,Dentex and yellow tail... My Mood: Rep Power: 6 | Re: Begginer (ideas for rod and reel) The PE1-3 is great for jigging "Bulat" or Bigeye Trevally at night. 30mins after your boatman sets up his squid lamp, go to the bow (or a few meters in front of the squid lamp) and drop a jig. Your jig should get nailed if the jig munching brigade is around. Not sure if the 2-4 can handle big sinkers. Whats the make and model of the PE2-4 outfit?

My Mood:  Rep Power: 3 | Re: Begginer (ideas for rod and reel) ya lor PE2-4. when handle sinker size of 14 & above..might not be able to take the impact ..esp when kana fish in such strong surrent IMO I would suggest a 30-80 calstar would be the min for nite bashing/ tough current |
