| Senior Member | for this case its poison for me, its looks like the so called field tester copy the colour combi from SS9500 even the handle looks like a CCM or some brand custom handle made for Penn SS now that its with black and gold combi, and IMO, in doing so (colour combi)he had just managed to decease the worth by at least $300 |

| Super Moderator | A bit like the Dogfight leh (NO THIS IS NOT a cheap shot at DF owners.). If they used a little less gold on it the reel will look much better. I find the limited edition ALL-BLACKS Boss reels really cool |

Rep Power: 5 ![]() | Hi Neub, Looks can be deceiving This reel ain't for the faint of heart. To begin with, you'll need really strong arms to handle this reel simply because it is heavy -- slightly heavier than a Stella 20000 if I am not mistaken. The first shipment was gone pretty quickly. Heard that there are some "black" beauties heading to Singapore in the not too distant future. As for whether it is "as tanky as van staals", it can be very subjective & up to individual views. Give AO a call for a quote (Tel: 62947567). If you have the time, pop down & take a look at the limited edition piece they have in the showcase. Best regards. Makaira |

| Moderator | Mak, After having a second look at the Gold and Black Twinspin, I reckon that the colour scheme would look great, IF, IF you wrapped a custom rod in corresponding colours with Titanium Gold Cermet Guides.... But it doesn't come even close to the sexy underwear colour Saimee |

Rep Power: 5 ![]() | Yo Saimee ....... did you notice the two 665's anodised in the same colour? They are lurking n the showcase somewhere Such a pity they are NFS either ..... As far as the black gold colour scheme is concerned, it isn't THAT bad ..... I figure I can live with it if I was "forced" to Mark -- great comparison!!! |

| Moderator | Ahhhh, Mak, you are a really bad dude..... All I ask is that you name in your will and bequeath me your H, XH and XXH rods and one ATD12 thats all... But I shall abstain, somehow.... Actually, it is that time of the year to scratch my tackle itch.... I got Ben to build me another GF755H, but running Sics only this time. I was wondering if anybody used Pro Gear here. I thought my evil twin mentioned to me that he had one, but I could have been mistaken (failing hearing to go along with my failing eyesight. I was looking at a link ( http://www.senortuna.com/main/showthread.php?t=14573 ) that showed the reel being broken down and it struck me that the reel (an Albacore Special) was basically a Kaikon with 1. a better bridge plate, 2. less plastic, 3. an AR bearing and a spring loaded dog, 4. nicely wide(thick) heilical main gear and matching pinion, 5. Solid machined parts, 6. Greased Carbon Fibre Drag Stack that could have wider washers. Basically most everything I would ask for in a stardrag High Ratio reel, but probably cheaper than the Jigger series. Maybe kind of a retro (Yes Mikey..Retro) YTS Special... All I would add would be an offset handle and it looks like a Kaikon handle would fit perfectly with a single thick shim between the handle and the belville above the star. Looking at their website, I see a bunch of reels that look good on paper, but I would welcome any actual usage reports. Comments?. Saimee |
