Yo simon
Taiwan fishing is quite tricky and unpredictable due to the weather and the profitable catch that everyone will want to go and earn big bucks...U can only plan a 2 day trip as U will be issue only 2 days permit by the Custom. And if U can finally go out , U will be fishing with lots of local guys unless U book the boat yourself.
Fishing is good provided U have the good weather and luck to catch the amberjacks that is the most profitable fish....
Check with FB if they have trips in June or if they can assist U in June for trips with the AG guys......
If not, juz go there to see mei mei loh.....
Cheers

I will check with FB and find out more...

Sure will look into the mei mei........ any way also meeting up some mei mei from there.... will post some pics of mei mei when i am there....
Opps correction... i mean cr.......
ha ha ha
Actually July and August are the worst times to go....bang in the middle of typhoon season!
Best time is Feb to June.....usually unfishable after that.
If you are there for the whole month of June you may just be able to get out on a two day trip if you can be on standby.
I love Taiwan's fishing but wouldn't actually travel to fish there, as about 50% of the trips get cancelled.
Cheers
