RE: Wat is your dream reel and rod???

Jason ,

Stella 20000PG is not an ideal reel for popping due to low gear ratio , Stella 10000HG is a better choise .

Hey Jason and Physio,

Can I ask u guys a qn? How come all the guys who work at fishing buddy don't see to use the AG modified boss?

Think Simon uses Z40 and Wei Chong the Marfix?

I like the AG mod boss, a bit noisy though....

Hi Jason,

Vincent I think was refering to the Carpenter OH56 MH-S. There are 2 spinning models the heavier version is the OH55 XH-S. Can ask Chris T about the performance, he has used one. I recall him say something like he could "feel the power at the fore grip" :P Can also ask Chris how the Carpenter compared to the J/M.

cheers,

mark

Hi Jason,

There is an overhead model OH52 XHB

http://www.carpenter.ne.jp/

but line rating slightly different and like many Japanese rod these days the there is no gimbal, just plain butt cap

Can also ask Mike Tan about the Carpenters Jig rods, he has used them extensively.

cheers

Aiyah... Tica will do... hahaha...

Jigging: Carpenter OH56 MH-S with Stella 20000 FA
Jigging Master 600g with Blue Heaven

Popping: Penn GT power with Stella 10000 HG
(But satisfy with Lemax pairing Tica)

Cheers.

Jason,
Ya my dream set for deep sea jigging purposes. For common jigging, I use my existing O-Jigger 3000P or FreamsJ.
This baja special is proven for those giant tuna that will run deep while hook up. So lower ratio provided more cranking power and the drag can goes up to 28lbs. But body need to train for more stamina first.
Ya, this reel looks more for trolling & bottom, so if I owned this reel then I can do 3 jobs in 1 reel. Jigging, Trolling & Bottom...
