Hi i am need here, i am here to ask whether if i am going to create a video about luring and the main msg out to the public is about CnR(catch and release) whats you guys think?? and maybe it will be send in to singapore film festival. Another question is that if we go to illegal spot and take the footage and happens to be your secret spot will you be angry and start to make it big somewhere?? so what you guys think about that???

Hi Wei Liang,

I think your main concern should be with regards to the relevant authorities since you may be filming AND fishing in illegal spots. Submitting the film to the Film Festival is perhaps akin to submitting prosecution's evidence to the courts on a silver platter should they decide to charge you in court?

As far as C&R is concerned, I think it is indeed a worthy cause, as long as people do not get over fanatical about it. IMHO, there is absolutely nothing wrong in taking fish back for the table. And in this forum, I don't remember reading anyone saying ..."Did you c&r or tapao the fish...." or words to that effect.

As far as secret spots are concerned, IMHO, I don't really think it will affect many of the anglers in this forum. My P.O.V. is what secret spots ....... especially when in comes to freshwater luring, are there really any secret spots? There are only that many bodies of freshwater on our little Island. All it takes is "ninja" tactics, be brave.... or foolish enough (depending on your P.O.V.) to bash through the undergrowth to your fishing spots at night.

I may well be wrong, but I seriously doubt anyone in particular on Fishingouting.com would create a "stink" if you were to produce such a video, but I certainly can't say that about other communities on the world wide web.
