Bluewater Fishing Expedition

Hi All,
Thanks for all the well wishes I recieved from fellow anglers for my Day Surgery at CGH.

The good news is I was discharged on the same day i.e. on 26 May 06.

The not so good news is that I have developed a total of 3 more additional blockages since my last operations in Dec 06.

There are 2 blockagess with 90%, 1 with 70% and 1 with 30%.

I will be re-admitted to The Heart Centre in SGH on 1 June 06. My operations will takes place the following day, 2 Jun 06. A balloon procedure will be done to remove the blockages. I was also told that this time round a larger stent will be placed in my artery to assist the flow of blood to my heart.

When I was told of the date of operations to be on 2 June 06, I immediately made a request to postpone the date to 9 June 06 coz I have another fishing mission to accomplish in Berakit with Fendi (Dayday) But unfortunately my request was turned down by my doctor saying that my heart situation does not permit for any further delay.

Alas!!! I have no choice but to take the advice of my doctor. Sorry Fendi, I was looking forward to this 3D2N mission with you and your kakis. Anyway, we will have another opportunity the next time.

Meanwhile I will have t go slow as from now till my ops. Thereafter, with GOD's grace fishing will start flowing back into my blood. Fellow kakis, please dont leave me out in future trips as am determined to carry on fishing.

My humble request to for my fellow anglers is to pray for my sucessful operations and a speedy recovery

so that I will be up and going fishing again in the shortest possible time. Thanks you my fellow anglers.

Please rest and have a free mind.for d time being...dont think about fishing too much and concentrate on your road to recovery.You will be much stronger than and will be able to fish more comfortably in the near future.You please take care and be strong as we are all looking forward to fish with you again.Our prayers and thoughts are with you all d time.

Never mind about the Berakit fishing.There will be many other fishing trips after you sort out your heart conditions.

Brada Sha,

Alamak brada, my mentua laki had a mild heart attack some 10 years ago and Alhamdullilah, we managed to get him diagnosed fast and he then had a bypass done at SGH 3 months later.

My friend, with the 90% & 70% blockages, please lah, you cannot delay the angioplasty if can do tomorrow even, I would do it. So do it next week man, after that, Insya 'Allah you will feel much better and have much more peace of mind.

My wife's uncle just had a bypass done 1.5 month ago and he had 4 blockages but he is already ready to go back to golf (but I think kena temporary ban by missus).... Whilst the angioplasty is not as invasive as a bypass, you will need to take it easy for at least a month, but at least you will be back on your feet just days after the procedure and after a month or so you will probably be able to get back to fishing offshore again.

So relax brada, Insya' Allah, you will sail through and before you know it will be back with a boat under your feet and a rod in your hand again.

Needless to say our do'a are with you, for a safe and successful procedure and a speedy recovery. Amin Ya Rabbil Alamin.

At the moment, please don't think about the trips. Once you recovered, we will definitely inform and bring you along when there are trips ahead.

As for now, take a good rest brada Sha. We will always pray for your recovery and please take good care of yourself.
