You 2 guys want to go and catch come of these big boys. I'll set up a trip with this boat, always wanted to try this area. Last year some friends went there and it was wild too.

Hi Ragman,
That will be cool! Fishing alongside the grandmasters on CC
I'm surprised the Japanese bother to venture to the Spratlys for these groupers...would have thought that bigger specimens are available in Japanese waters.
Incidentally, will be heading up to miri this weekend (not on CC though)...was supposed to be a GT bashing trip at the oils rigs E11 & F6 but the charter operator lost his small speedboat to rough seas while on tow...so we will be heading to southern luconia instead for AJs & Ruby snappers...there have been a few good reports this year from that area so fingers crossed

Yes Mak, the rods are quite something....
Their flash custom rod holders appear to be very strong & sturdy....some of those guys are cranking monster fish with the rod & reel in holder....amazingly, the clamps don't seem to come loose!...CC has some pretty strong rod holders but I guess an Alligator custom rod won't look right sitting in one of those![]()
