| Administrator | I see ... i am sure the fish caught there quality would be much better than Tanjung Pinang (bulat and kaci hometown). As long everyone has fun is more important. I am thinking to organise a trip to Tanjung Pinang for 3D2N. Anyone interested? -e |

Rep Power: 5 ![]() | small world indeed, phslo. anyway, i don't think i'll going on board the appollo in the near future as i don't want another massage bed. i'll be planning a trip to lucornia next year april so anyone interested? i currently have 5 kakis confirm. i know it's a bit early but as the saying goes, early bird catches the biggest worm. so how's the planning for the jan BSL trip? my girlfriend wants to join but can only make it on either 1st or 2nd week. |

Hmm... let see... samson fight all the way... drag setting rougly 15kg.. You got to be strong to fight that bugger.. back pain to fight 3 in the roll. As for doggies... we fish at 120m water... and initial run is strong... and fight again at mid water.... if he run under to boat then u have to lower down the rod to prevent line cut at the side of the boat.. this is what happen on my trip and there is no way for me to lit it up.. Conclusion: Samson is still stronger if same size is compared. I will waiting for opportunity to fight 30kg+ YellowFin Tuna.. Tan, Samson season is openning.. take budget airlines and go to try for 2 days.. I might be going in January with my cousin.. Cheers, Vincent

Hi Calvin and guys, I do apologies for the uncomfortable bed and some other inconveniences... i had feedback to Capt Fred about this and some other commends... I guess 6 pax is just nice on Apollo... not more than that... If you want to go with Crystal Coral, i think someone can arrange with better price... just let me know if you need help here. I might be going depending whether fishing competition is confirm or not. As for BSL on Jan... no problem.. as long as is weekend.. Physlo, i might not be going for TB. Reserve the slot for Chan.. Now prefer 4/5 days long range trip.. getting old... can not tahan.. Cheers, Vincent

Cheers, Vincent[/quote] Ha...ha..ha..did i heard wrongly? You are the iron man since Glen Chee retired. Agree with you 8 days on board is much too long but...think of the monsters Taka can offer. Yellow fins, GT, Dogtooth of 40-50kgs and above. Anyway i have not finalise the trip yet. Need to get more info on the boat since we will be on board for many days. Cheers! physlo |

Rep Power: 5 ![]() | hi guys, i have tentatively book crystal coral on 16-21 april 2006. cost wise, wilson will feedback me once everything is confirm as oil price now very unstable. i currently have 5 confirm so need 5 more. i decided to let Pelagic Angler handle everything as it's too much of a hassle to do the logistics planning. as for the BSL trip, i'll check with Dyran and i'll let you all know the outcome. do you guys think 13-16 jan a suitable date? |

No a problem... will keep you in the loop if there is any trip on 2006. Most of the JM rod are build on soft side.. which mean bending action is good and pretty... but no lifting power. Reverse of the soft side is hard one. I not sure how they determine the reverse backbone... according to them recover is fast and there is a lifting power on it. People tried and feedback there is a different. So, now the question is whether rod builder know what is reverse backbone or not... Can check with 12345 for more .. Amberjack disagreed anyway... Discovered by rod builder in Brunei.. Cheers.
