| Super Moderator | Soft plastics Hi everyone, I'm pretty sure you've noticed that soft plastics has taken the luring scene in SG by storm lately. Years ago I experimented with Berkley's Power Grub @ PRP and had good success with them. Now my personal fav would be Berkley's Powerbait Saltwater Pogy. Amazingly, the tight tail wriggling on the pogy can be felt during retrieve (when using braids) and I believe this is why it's so effective. Something to note though... when buying soft plastics always choose a pack that looks "oily". Some shops actually punch holes on the packaging in order to hang up the lures for display. This actually allows the lubrication to dry up and makes the lure less effective (no smell) & tear easily during use. |

| Senior Member | i have used a few brand of rubber lure.... i find the Storm one has got better swimming action as the tail wiggles much nicer, however, they are pretty soft n tear easily..... berkley rubber is slightly harder n more tuff.....same goes to Panther Martin....
