small buggers

alo all....wanna share a little sumting with u guys if you dont mind,
just got back to shore (kemaman) from a hitch offshore on one of the oil platforms somewhere in west m'sia.had some time to kill while i was there(waiting for d chopper to pick us up) curi2 let down me handline.once i had locked my elbow to a 5kg drag..started jigging lazily and mind was wandering aimlessly as i was looking out on d beautiful ocean and taking in the nice breeze when.........this "small bugger" popped out of nowhere. It did gave me a shock at first but i eventually got really excited and was admiring it all the way.

Didn't bother to fish after that.....the only thing i caught was this "small burger" with my camera.I swear it was bigger than 12feet...

thanks for reading guys...will be going up to some other platforms in a couple of days time and hopefully be able to squeeze (curi2) in some time and catch some fishes.have a nice day guys...

Re: small buggers

FPIP,

Thank you very much for sharing. Indeed it is a very majestic fish. We have a closed encounter with one of these when we were chasing Yellow Fin Tuna in Celebes Sea 2 quarters ago

Best Regards,
Edy

Thats one beaut of a whale shark... I bet a lot of us here wished we had "waiting time" like you.

Nice one.
