Talking A question for Experts

why is it this particular june to july 2006 having unforseen weather? As this is the middle of the year, it or by right should be hot humid yet calm seas over in malaysia, but unfortunately.......encountered huge waves, strong wind and heavy downpour??

Any weather experts out there?

I dunno about experts, but I posted on this a couple of weeks ago at;

How's the weather?

For convenience sakes, here's a paste of what I posted;

Quote:
Getting up for work today, a glance out the window confirmed why the aircon in the room was so cold, there was rain, more rain and probably just a bit more rain round the corner.

I dunno about anyone else, but I remember back in the late 1970s (when I reached an age where weather seemed to matter to me) the "seasons" were so very predictable. Back then it would be stormy and windy starting the first week of November until the end of January. For the rest of the year, February to April would dry out visibly, then May to August would be the drought period and September to October would start getting damp again.

The same went for the sea conditions and the corresponding fishing patterns. November-January were the shut down months and prime time was May to August. Now, man, small craft warnings in June.... ughhhhh.

I think it all really began to go to hell in a basket sometime in the mid nineties and really accelerated in the last 2 years.

All in all, I reckon that if certain world leaders continue to discount the impact of pollution on the environment and poo-poo global warming and the depletion of the ozone layer , or prioritise the economy over pollution control, then they might well be condeming the rest of the world including us in SE Asia, to increasingly violent and unpredictable weather patterns and events.

Whats your take on the weather?.

Saimee
So yes, I am very disturb by the pretty drastic changes I have seen especially in the last 3 years.

Hi Saimee, i got a shock when i saw the news yesterday evening 6+pm. 1 part in USA got flooded! Certain areas in China too got flooded. Raining heavily over here in Singapore yesterday and now!! I did ask a few......U know old man who eat salt more than i drink water type..........they claimed that this was caused by something like the wind blowing against the sun, resulting in having this kinda weather.....how true is dat...Honestly, I m not too sure.
