My Mood:  Rep Power: 3  | Plat/Shimano Stella 07? Hi lads, Looking for some advice, has any of you dealt with plat? I want to purchase a stella 07 from them,is it safe to send the reel by post? Do they offer isnurance? Do they have reliable courrier services? Cheers, JT. P.S do you guys think the price will be lower later? |

My Mood:  Rep Power: 6 | Re: Plat/Shimano Stella 07? Hi JT, Plat is very reliable in my opinion. Have made 3 orders from them over the last 2 years but not for reels or rods. They have a handling charge which can be pretty high and a sales tax I believe. They'll ship by EMS from Japan to Singapore so never a problem, not sure about shipping to Mauritius though. cheers |

I was browsing their website yesterday and I found a rate to Mauritius, for an 800g parcel it should cost about 40SGD to ship. Now that you have mention the tax, I have doubts since I thought all tax were included in their price. There is no local custom charges on importing fishing equipment in Mauritius. Do you know when the stella will be availaible in SG since I have an option to buy in SG, it might be cheaper? |

The new arrival is by the end of March and most orders are already sold out! Actually their prices are a bit high but the postage isn't that high. So I might give them a try. |
