The registration fee is Rupia 2 million. I have to find out the cost of air ticket, accomodation and etc.

There are quite a number of dogtooth in that area and was told the smallest they landed usually is about 15kgs.

Trolling and Drifting (Jigging, Casting, Popping and i think Bottom is okie too)

If i am not wrong the date is stated as 15-17 Dec2006, I am also waiting for Edylie to let us know the cost.

Seems like TigerAirways do fly to Padang

Sing$160++ return tickets fly on (Thursday)14th Dec and returned on (Tuesday)19th Dec. TigerAirways has no flight back on the 18th.

The competition is from 15th Dec to 17th Dec.

The hotel is 150000 Rupiah per night which is about Sing$30

We still need to factor in costs like food, transport and misc.

I heard a few top captains from Pelabuhan Ratu are being contracted by Jakarta anglers who are participating in this tournament , meaning they will use local boat but have " mercenary " captains to steer the local boats .

Hi Edy ,

I haven't been to that place yet , perhaps my friends who like to participate in Fishing Competition can fill me in on what to be found there , if the place is good then may be I will go there myself after the tournament . I don't like to participate in fishing tournament , when I fish I like to keep everything simple and rules are too much a hassle and not relaxing .

Have asked my friend who is participating in that tournament to look at the place , he is a popping enthusiast so knows what to look at . If the place is good and suitable boat is available , will have to do it before the westerlies become too strong lest we have to wait for April/May but by then it wud be Komodo/Sumba time again .
