Fishing is good, weather is kind, company is great, alots of GTs, Blue Fins, Red Basses, Baraccuda, YellowFin Tunas, Skipjack Tunas, Lunar & Coral Trouts, Leng Chiams, Dogtooths, Rainbow Runners, Sharks...etc.. But no Bone Fish

some of the interesting things of the trip are 10lbs line with wire leader on an Abu 4500 match with Sage Rod landing a 6 footer Shark, 20 lbs line on a Zauber 4000 match with Bassterra with 30lbs leader landing 3 GTs, 2 rainbow runners in a row, Hot's 83H on PE 6 with 100lbs leader on 6000GT landing a 6-7kg GT in 3 mins with fish hitting the popper at ard 75m range, couple of unstopable on Stella 16k got reefed, refused to surface after 30 mins of fight, 12" trolling lures being bitten off, washing machine treatment at "Crazy" Reef, spooled naked by sailfish.... and many many more...

Only regets of the trip is not taking enough pics on the Washing Machine Treatment at the self proclaim "Crazy Reef" cos the same treatment happens 2 days in a row and no one willing to drop their tackles for the viewcam to take down such outrageous GT feeding action... and as Wilson point out why didn't we pass our viewcam over to the deckie????

ok guys let me sort out my work stuff 1st and will try to post the pics of the trip within this couple of days... Bryan and Kelvin if you guys see this pls upload the pics also
Cheers
Mark...

Few important questions-

How many poppers/jigs did each of you loose on the average
Were the guys experiencing mysterious lost of fish during the fight using the same OXNXR trebles

Didn't check with the rest of the guys but for me i think i lost 4 poppers (not to fish tho just that all was lost when i had wind knot and seems like fishes just like it when that happens )

Lost quite a couple of jigs too but not substantial enough to reduce my baggage weight at the end of the trip, most were to fishes but also had some jig and a couple of metal slices to Ikan Maldives

Lures must bring alot, but i'm not going to tell you guys which ones are good which ones are fantastic unless someone buy me a nice cup of coffee. (just to let you have an insight, that lure had 6 bites/4 landed in alittle more then 20mins of light trolling)

Dunno if its the treble that result in alots of my fish drop but did lost alot of fishes even tho they started taking lines for couple of seconds before that happens, then again, when i tried easing off abit on the drag it seems that the drop reduces.. so whether its the hook or not i really can't comments unless someone fly me over next couple of days to try out some new trebles

We did not managed to land any of the big fish that we hooked up. Many GTs, but most were 5-15 kg, and they were fighting over themselves to get to the popper sometimes. We were using only 1 treble on each popper to make unhooking them easier. Now this becomes a problem when it comes to the ones that we really want to catch. Bryan had a really big fish that emptied 1/2 of his stella 16k. After more than half an hour of fighting sitting down, the hooks pulled. He had 65# line on and I dont think you could have pushed that tackle much harder in that 1/2 hr or so. We were totally outgunned on that class of fish. Larry also has a 30kg dogtooth on popper.
Let me see if I can get the pix up.
