Osman trip on 11/8/7 Sat- Looking for kakis to take over

Hi follks,

Looking for a group to take over my booking with Osman on 11/8/7 Saturday as all my kakis cannot make it

Another catch report to add on......

Was out on osman boat last nite till this afternoon 3pm.

Initally was quite dishearted after kaki reported that their fri night's trip had poor result. Hence called up triplek to inform him that we have to buy either live fish or live prawn on board our trip.

As sky was still bright when we head out at 6pm, we used live prawn at the first spot off sentosa. Within 15mins, kaki fishing behind me landed 1 ack (700g) and 1 guhood (800g). Using a small weight, i drift my bait far behind and caught a ack (slightly above 2kg).

With strong wind and choppy sea, 3 out of 4 anglers retired into the cabin to rest by 9pm. Wind died down by 10+pm. Lost a few good take when my 1/0 hook with live prawn cannot set when the fish attack. After changing to 4/0 hook then started to land 1 black kachi (above 1kg) and a teeboon (900g).

Caught only 2 squid for the whole night. At around 3am, osman landed a 2.5kg ack off st john. By 5am, boat was parked at botak hill as boatman wanne take a rest. With only myself fishing, i drift my bait along the current and caught a 1kg+ grouper. At day break, i landed 1 deepsea kbl and 1 kachi (above 1kg) and another kaki landed another deep sea kbl.

Continue fishing till 230pm but fishing was unproductive with only 1 arumugan caught.

concluded the trip with 11 fishes.

Charter cost is $400, max 5 anglers, departs at RSYC around 6-7pm Saturday night, can fish till past lunch time maybe even till 3pm on Sunday. Charter price excludes bait (boatman does have some garfish as backup but better buy some kelong squid). Boat is a fibre bayliner 1/2 cabin with diesel inboard. Must use heavy gear as Osman's spots are around the shipping channels and strong current areas. Targets biggies

Hi Jason,

Your new job must have tied u down. How about going to the pond to fish for 3 hours? I will normally head down to either auntie (neotiew) pond or FMV when i don't go out to the sea. Auntie pond was recently renovated and they are holding a mini competition on national day. I will not be joining the competition but will be going after....to pick up some leftover biggie.....Henry Koh, u coming???


By the way, Osman is a hardworking boatman who shift spot frequently when the fish don't bite. On last sat nite, he easily change more than 10 spots. As he prefer strong current area, big sinker is required. Happen to see another catch report from his boat:

Paiseh Kaypoh abit.

yes there is toilet inside the 1/2 cabin. best to go with 4-5 kakis. Cabin can rest 2 ppl at one time.
