| Moderator | Mikey, We have plans, plans and plans... Lemme just get my replacement gear sorted out first. If there are YellowFin Tuna they will be there dude.... Boys headed out on Wednesday night and bagged 19 Amberjacks in one night, Ishak used a HANDLINE..... wahahahahahhahaha.... crazy bugger was fed up with the resident braid hungry baracoutas so he dropped a handline and hammered 5 AJs in a row, biggest around 17kg. They may be heading out tonight to a different spot further to the west... I can't go unfortunately.... Saimee

| Moderator | Mikey, No worries dude, I think I need to renew my acquaintance with the MJs at a few wrecks, so we will give the Amberjacks a rest. Fasting month is coming up end of next month anyway, so things will be quiet for a while. Also seems that someone else wants me to join him for some inshore golden trevally action, which could be fun if it happens. Its raining Doggies and GTs out there right now, so the Amberjacks look to be safe tonight. Saimee

Eh friend, i went out friday night till this morning not even 1 Amberjack...........but caught a few good grouper at new spot, depth 571ft. Saimee, didn't see anybody turn up in that area since friday except one Alladin boat which look similar to Pehin boat but no roof. 4 those outboat didn't turn up last night was very very lucky, wind picking up around 7.15pm estimated 40-50km/h, flat sea suddenly become 3-4m swell within half hours, we were hit hardly all things drop everyway (bags/rod/food/chair and etc) , everybody decided to go back early. | |

As for the weather, I am not surprised as when I looked at the radar around 8.15pm, the bands of the storm extended out over 100km offshore. The boys did not head out last night in any case, I think they were watching some live football. Anyway, y'all stay safe out there. Saimee

| Senior Member | there is another oil rig that you guys might wanna explore, its over at Bintulu Sarawak, lots of good size GTs to be landed casting metal slices/jigs at night provided you are able to get close enough to the operational oil rig, legend has it that 7ft amberjack and unstopable monster even at 30kg drag are awaiting for your next cast!!! Cheers Mark p.s. pls disregard the last sentence, as it is supposed to be a joke between a couple of my buddies!!! hahahahahaha.........

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | If you get the right boat, can still go close to the oil rig. |

| Senior Member | getting close to the oil shouldn't be too difficult but sometime you run the risk of getting chase away if you are being spotted.
