| Administrator | Re: offshore fishing course Hi YS, That is an interesting idea and especially useful for newbies whom do not know how to tie hooks, use what size of sinkers, length of leaders and all that. What is the duration for the course? just 4 hours and 1 session? Cheers, Edy

Yes, just 1 session of 3-4 hrs. If course structure is too wide, probably needs 2 sessions at a higher cost. Overall structure should revolve ard info written at following thread but will include fishing at HB/SCS http://www.fishingouting.com/forums/...re-waters.html

Thanks for your input. Will include practical session onboard a boat to be an option. Need to have fairly good prospective nos. in hand first as not all can make it on the same practical date.

Thanks for your input. The arrangement of a practical session have to take into considerations factors like 1) tackle requirements for different fishing ground 2) different boat used for different ground 3) anglers experience/exposure level & appropriate practical session 4) different pricing using different boat 5) different pricing for different ground It's feasible to combine theory/practical for long range trips to HB/SCS using time spent while underway to fishing ground but the same may not be true for local trips as travelling time is rather short & most gets distracted once anchor had dropped ![]() Alternatively, course is structured differently based on practical session fishing ground/location

On a personal note, sessions for both short and long trips would be a good alternative. This way, participants would probably understand further the different requirements/conditions/prices fishing at various locations. Just my inputs. Cheers! th2x P/S: I am quite keen to take part provided the overall costs is reasonable.

My Mood: Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Re: offshore fishing course I'm interested too. Leave out the basics such as tying knots and stuffs, it will make the course boring. Most imptly is the practical lessons, can learn much more efficiently this way. Even for short trips on local waters can also teach on the spot too. Maybe you can provide different course for different levels i.e. local water course, Tanjung Pinang course, SCS course, marlin course etc. |
