Need kakis:Fishing @ Pulau Aur & shipwreck: 29th - 31st

Afternoon to all. (this is a long post)

Fishing from 29th October to 31st October 2005.

3D2N fishing trip to this weekend @ Sedili, Johor. Min 6 anglers, max 8 anglers on boat. Currently still looking for kakis.

Per head is approximately S$216 (6 pax with transport ; JB - Sedili - JB), If no transportation is required, from JB to Sedili (round trip) will be approximately S$182.

This wooden boat is just a simple 41-footer fishing boat, with a flushless toilet and is basically not a place for those who expect luxury while fishing. For those who don't mind fishing without middle class luxuries and amenities, I'll be glad to have you join along. This is a NO LUXURY fishing trip.

Boat will dock in Pulau Aur on evening of first day and second day for showers and refreshments, full night fishing all night long- after departing from Pulau Aur for bigger fish using fresh bait caught earlier.

Boatman will be cooking our catch on board; per request. Also, they will be busy targeting baitfish for us to use.

Depart from JB ard 0100hrs (Saturday), journey to Sedili will take approx 2hrs via driving. Boat will depart Sedili on Saturday approx 0400hrs - 0430hrs, back to Sedili on Monday approx 1800hrs. Very good friend in JB arranging trip for me at such a low price.

Main point
Targeting table fare fish such as wrasse, spanish mackeral, snappers, and the abudant freeflow of livebait (caught by the fishermen at fishing spot) such as kembong, selayang, chincharu, tamban and kuning.

Strong fighters such as barracudas are found there, and also the occassional big game playas such as dorados, frigate tunas and last but not least; black marlins. Last trip was 2 weeks ago, marlins were hit, 1 was landed, about 25kg, with 1 frigate tuna about 3kg.

Please kindly refer to the pics attached on regards to some of the catches 2 week ago.

The shipwreck behind Pulau Aur is known for golden snappers, red snappers and GTs'.

Essentials to bring
Sunblock, sunglasses, toiletries, toilet paper, mineral / drinking water (4L per person recommended), clothes, hat and light snacks.

Please take note : Only for genuine anglers. CheerS!!

Hi Foong,

Welcome to FO. You seems to be doing lots of offshore fishing nowadays. Have you got your jigging gears?

BTW, Interested to get my rod re-built. Have stripped almost everything except for the underbinds.

Cheers!

thanks for the welcome. :P

As for the off-shore gears... not yet bro, still saving to buy the 10000hg, 20000PG and the 2 G-tech blanks, respectively PE6 and PE7.

On re-building your rods, will call you after this reply. cheers!

G-Tech...not a bad choice and the price is so much affordable than some of the blanks available. More ever you will save $$ since you're building it yourself. See you soon and i will pass you the popping rod.

Cheers!
