| Super Moderator | Mono or Braid for lure casting I've been casting lures with nylon lines lately. Tried the new Sufix Seige and Sunline's Supercast. These lines seems to have pretty low memory and does not seem to get "curly". It seems my buddies were having more problems with their braid loaded baitcasters than me. Makes me wonder if I should go back to nylon lines and ditch braids For the record, Siege is really tough, low in memory and casts well. On the negative side, I find it pretty difficult to tie knots on the Siege and it's rather thick compared to Japanese lines. Can be found at most Tom/Dick/Harry tackle shops. Sunline's Supercast is a super slick, low diameter, low memory line that's color coded (changes color every 25m). It knots a lot better than Siege but had lower abrasion resistance. Fresh stock available @ Good Fishing Store (Sembawang Shopping Center; Top floor) |
