Yo Guys,

Just to share the excitement, myself plus a few other guys will be travelling to Bali (again :P ) next Friday. The few brave souls are-

"Laid Back" Alvin
"Storm" Wong
"Snoob Dawg" Roy
"Sounds Like a Plan" Dyran

During the last trip to Bali, Mark and a few other guys had a chance to experience, first hand, how exciting jigging with 500g jigs was

Other than deep jigging, everyone will get a taste of flinging poppers during this upcoming trip.

I'm still kinda undecided as to what gear to bring at the moment but once I've made up my mind, I'll post some photos of the arsenal I'll be using.

Hello Amigos

The 5 stooges are back from Bali

Other than what we managed to catch over the weekend, I doubt anyone is interested to hear about other issues like how well we got along as a team, how beautful the scenary was etc right

:P So here's the list of stuff we hooked/landed-

01 GT <20kg (Popping)
01 GT <2kg (Popping)
01 Trumpet fish <3kg (Jigging)
01 Barracuda <1kg (Jigging)
01 Missed Strike
01 Bite Off

We had a real promising start, with a decent sized GT landed within 10 minutes of the trip. All of us were so certain that this was going to be THE TRIP to remember for a long time to come... but alas

it was simply 99% hardwork and 1% of returns. We tried changing jig profiles, using lighter leaders, several different styles of working the jigs, switching topwater lures but nothing worked. I quote my buddy Aaron "Well if there's a reason for our trip being skunked, it definitely will not be due to the lack of trying

Despite the poor action, everyone persevered and jigged/popped their arms off. It was truly a pleasure for me to be able to fish with such a wonderfully crazy bunch of people.

Mickey welcome back. Heard from Dyran, the winds too strong and you guys were out of the strike zone within 5 minutes.

Damn that really sucks but glad you guys enjoyed each others company

Here are some of the photos that Roy took. The waters near the resort were really clear and it was like being in a giant marine fish tank. 3 of us took a short 30 minute snorkel with Martin (one of the locals there).

On the night of the first day, Ronnie and Martin (the locals) fished from the jetty at night and caught 3 big-eyes.

The locals were very accomodating. Must have moved spots 10-20 times each day.

Yo... the place really looked promising man. IMHO a lot better than what I've encountered during my previous visits to Bali. Guess it's just one of those days

Anyway, I'm thinking of re-visiting Bali later in November, this time round, we'll be fishing @ Lembongan. anyone care to join me?

:P One is currently fetching S$320 and the other $480. Let's see, after adding in shipping charges, its probably going to be in the region of $700
