GT knot

hi all,
On the site below they have a GT knot image.

Can someone explain how Step 1 is done?

1. do a bimini twist...
2. do the criss cross on your leader using the loop in your mainline
3. tie the knot on your leader (not too tight... just form the knot will do)
4. pull the loose criss cross loops against the knot on your leader.
4. trim the tag end on your leader
