Gosen Fc?

I have stumbled into this line, shown in the attached picture...I think it's a 27lbs Fluoro Carbon line, 300m spool, brand is GOSEN Japan.

Is this Fluoro Carbon?
Anyone used this before or use this Brand before?
How's the quality?
Price range?
Available in our local market?

The Gosen line is very good and I've been using it for a while now. It's very cheap too... can't remember exact price but it's either $28 or $36 for 300m. Mind telling me where you bought yours from? I'm going to buy a few more spools!

I have confirmed that this is Gosen Fluoro Carbon, market price is around S$140(lower side).

The FCs found in SG are usually sold as 50m spool priced at S$30 to S$40, depending on the brands and poundage.

The one that you are using should be Gosen PE, which exactly the price you have mentioned

Mr Bao... you've got to be kidding me... quite a few of us bought that Gosen FC and it's under the $40 mark. I'll try and see if the price is still written on my FC's box... I bought mine from Changi Pro Tackle many months ago.

Bao are you familiar with a guy called Jake on Fishingkaki? You can PM him and ask about the Gosen FC. He bought a few spools too. Changi ran out of stock but still... $40 and $140 is a freaking big diff man.

Hi,

I got given a Gosen FC 300m spool a few months back. 30lb line test. Price label says $30+ if I remember correctly. Bought from Changi Pro.

Been using it regularly for lure fishing. Feels like normal flourocarbon (stiffer, harder to tie, etc) but not sure what the refractive indext is.

Cheers,
Clarence

Yup thats the one I have SK8. Yours is a No.7 also right? Changi Pro only had no.7 then. I must say its actually more resistant to abrasion than most other FCs I've used.
