    Gimbal Belt recommendation

    Hi gurus,

I am looking for a gimbal belt for my coming trip. I would like to get one of budget less than $200. Please recommend me a fairly good and nice gimbal belt.

    Thank you very much.

    Regards,

Bro, are you going to fish overseas very often? if not take mine when you come pick up the spool. Unless you really want to invest in one, go check out the GT Max belt at Anglers Outfitters. One of the best value for money belts around.

    Hi Mikey,

I would like to like to invest in one. I will check it out tomorrow at the same time to install the jigging knob. I will contact you soon for the spool.

    Thanks so much.

    Hi Strikes,

Get the Prohunter gimable belt is good enough .Cheap and good.

I even give up the GT Max for the Prohunter...Hhahahaha!!!!!

Nice Belt to have but after most trips, the belt will have scratches that is quite heart-ache for most anglers. Especailly if your gimable end is metal....Will cause a lot of "signatures" on the belt.

    Cheers
    Jason

    Hi Jason,

Thanks for the feedback. You are certainly right in a sense. I will use this belt for both jigging and bottom. Some of my rods have aluminum gimbals. There will definately be scars aftermath. Do you know where i can view the Prohunter belt? I am currently looking at the Seven Seas. I think it is made from hard plastic.

    Thanks a lot.

    Hi Strikes,

U can view the Sevenseas Belt in Deepsea and the Prohunter U can find at Changi Pro, Riverland, Hotspot and some other shops along Beach Road.

The Prohunter cost only SGD$20 compared to SGD$220 for Sevenseas and SGD$180for GT Max.

Most important Prohunter will float in the water if U happen to lose it overboard. I doubt the GT Max will float. Maybe the Sevensea will .

Never the less, a nice looking belt is always a eye catching icon when it comes to photo taking.

    Cheers
    Jason

    Re: Gimbal Belt recommendation

    Hi guys,

I'm also interested in the information as I'm new to jigging and found some belts to move about a bit when fighting a fish. Which belts really stay in place better and more suitable for skinny guys?

    Many thanks
