Freams J 4500 for Toman Fishing?

Yesterday went to my usual place to try for toman and belida. Saw 2 guys from F.O. using freams J 4500 couple with JIG Wrex PE 4 casting and live baiting for toman. Do you guys think it's a bit of a overkill for the toman? Worst still saw this guy using the freams J and a 13 footer rod, cast out a rocket with a goldfish for bait going after the belidas. For the record, they caught 4 tomans, haruan and belida. I just think that they should give the tomans a chance. What do you think guys?

Hi Yazid/DayDay, it doesn't really matter who uses what lar... you might not find their fishing style "sporting" but the guys are having a good time fishing and that's probably what matters most. Have you seen what Japanese "Toman rods" look like and what kind of rating it has?

Yazid,

Wah you went freshwater never bring me and Edros along eh...evil lah you . Always promise to bring us to your "monster" toman, "monster" patin and "monster" belida spot that you talking bout.

Anyway, ...maybe those guys using 13 footer and JigWrex are practicing for Bungsamram fishing...never know....or maybe it's their first time fishing in freshwater.....or maybe the kaki that brought them along told them to bring these "overkill" tackles for the monsters. Yazid.....must give these kakis support lah....some more you know these guys from F.O.

Eh bro, next time you go bring us lah.....eh...when going again....ehhehhe.
