Feedback on FishingOuting new look 2010

Hi FOers,

Could you please share with me the following based on the look and function of the new forum?

1. What you do not like?
example: fonts too small, color is not prominent

2. What you do like?
example: refreshing looks

. Took me a second to orientate myself to the new make over. It is a nice change.
Love the blue sea and big game fishes but the boat appears empty ...howabout a few bikini clad babes and a happy angler on board lol

May be nothing but the cloud is too repetitive across the horizon , may be a bit of darker cloud ? The fishes can be distributed more across the width of the screen instead of them being too close together and how about jumping sailfish or marlin behind the boat ?

Overall it's an attractive home page with offshore colours , better than other similar website but can be made even better , I reckon .

Thank you for the feedback. I will share it with our designer. With a brand new site now I am going to work on bringing more participants to spice up our Forum.

Is there any feedback in term of the quality or problem on lacking of participant?

If the classifieds section can somehow be made more attractive for users, then I think FO will see a lot more traffic...need some thinking here...sprees, auctions???

Catch reports- more catch reports will be a big draw too but this will be difficult to achieve because folks somehow prefer to post on the other local forum...maybe start a CR of the month award?

Hi Edy, the new look for me works well, easy on the eyes . I would add , if it was my page .... a ball of baitfish or one in a predator's mouth :=) and the boat position just a little bit more into the picture ,maybe a few more centimeters in from the side , would help break up the clouds too ...

Also , the sign in and password box's seem a bit short ...

just my 2 cents worth ..

A fine design, I love the colour theme. The header backdrop is also well themed, but perhaps the fishes looks a little weird in that position and the glow makes them look like buttons that urged me to click. The sky and the sea looks like two pictures mashed together, I'm just nitpicking though.

personally, too much light blue
be good if text area could be black/dark gray background and text in white/orange/yellow ... easier on the eyes when reading
