Fish was caught at Rodrigues Island located in the Indian Ocean. It is pretty close to Mauritius This is the charter the anglers used. http://www.bluedynamite.mu/english/menu.html Prices for charter can be found in that website Best regards, Makaira

Hmmmm Makaira, I assume that the angler is probably one of the Caranx.net hardcore bunch?..... And that the prototype Twinspin may have featured in the story?. regards, Saimee P.S. My guess is 87kg.....

The reel in the pictures looks to be of the Japanese persuasion. Don't think it was caught by that particular individual you were referring to as I believe it is a different trip

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | That Dogtooth Tuna tipped the sclae at 90.9kg. Weighing was done at an IGFA weighing station in Rodrigues. Makaira is right, it's in Rodrigues onboard Bluedynamites charter. But to be exact the location is at the Eastern Banks, 55 nautical miles off Rodrigues. The smith rod busted during the fight but the Stella FA20000 still in one piece. |

Of course I am sure we all get more AHEM, "selectively forgetful", as time goes by (awww bugger that, being "selectively forgetful" is mandatory in surviving past the age of 10), but Senile........I think not Makaira. Examples of my rampant selective forgetfulness; SHE WHO MUST BE OBEYED: How many rods did you buy last month? DFM: Rods...hmmm....wat dis thing called rods?... Yup, essential survival mechanism... Regards, ah wats my name again
