Difference between mono, P-lines, Braids, Flurocarbons?

Dear All,

Need to check on the types of available lines in the fishing world and their adavantages/disadvantages. What is your personal experience?

Can anyone recommend a good thin leader line (40-50lbs) for off-shore fishing with good abrasion-resistance?

Thanks

Varivas is my top choice, next would be YGK followed by Sufix Tritanium.

For local boat fishing, try not to go above 30lb test for higher bite rate
