My Mood:  Rep Power: 6  | Deep Release Device For the guys who are going Sambo jigging this season, please help me get one of these devices  Seen the guys in Perth use this device to deep release Sambos that can't swim down. Seen it on sale at Bluewater too.Looks like a barbless hongkong hook with an oversized weight...reminds me of my 1kg Rangong retriever  I've got 100m of low stretch YGK Kevlar? rope for my Rangong retriever so was thinking that the same rope could come in handy the next time I go jigging...deep release may help reduce the effects of barotrauma...good for releasing Ruby snappers and doggies Last edited by MarkR : 16-10-2006 at 03:17 PM. |

Rep Power: 5 | MarkR, Go and get from Wilson the Sambo DVD. I mean the longer version. There are couple of shots showing how the hook is being set up for the deep release. Its a DIY version and it works effectively. |
