I deleted the carpenter website from my favorites and I can't trace it back from the original website.

Re: Carpenter Website

Thanks Ever so much Jon. I gather they have changed their website.

I was looking at the Marlin series, I can't remember the codes, there was one which could take 7kg drag ideal for medium jigging and light popping

Re: Carpenter Website

Muchly appreciated Jon, that is what I was looking for.

It's for a friend who want to invest in a rod.

Zeck ,

Get a TBL series , the same blank construction as your newly acquired OMA92 but more for GT . Finally I get to convince the great Zeck to join Carpenter gang !

Re: Carpenter Website

Hardly great my friend! If only I spend more time and money going fishing instead of just buying tackle, I think I would be happier. But since I do not have the time to do so, I guess buying tackle is a poor substitute.

Btw, I am actually eyeing the LR90 ICBM instead of the TBL series. Love the name, inter-continent ballistic missle. What do you think? Perhaps I should email instead of going tangent on this thread.

Also, the OMA92 which I believe you have one too, is awesome. It behaves just like my UFM Ulua. Hahaha.

Re: Carpenter Website

Zeck ,

LR90 ICBM is a long handle version of LR88 which in turn is the improved version of the very popular LR86 / LR89LDC . I have not tested this rod yet so can't say much about it .

I had OMA 92 since late 2005 , was allocated one from the original limited edition batch to test it against YellowFin Tunas in P.Ratu , unfortunately it came too late for the great season of 2005 and I only caught school YFTs weighing not more than 25 kg with it so far .

You seem to like long rod , I have a selections from 9'2" to 7'5" covering PE 10 ~ PE3 line rating . You need a GT rod now because that OMA92 is a dedicated tuna rod .

Re: Carpenter Website

I absolutely NEED a GT rod, hence the ICBM. hahaha

And yes, I love long rods. My 2 jigging rods are 8'4", and a newly acquired 7'8" respectively.
