Broadbill Swordfish caught @ Spratlys!!!

Hi guys, came across this interesting thread in the Malaysian Fishing Forum. Some commercial handliners recently landed a Swordie at Ardasier! On a handline using tamban in 90m water somemore!!!

Always suspected that they might exist around Spratlys cos I've personally seen other temperate water species like thresher sharks landed there before. I guess here is (disputable) proof that the Malaysian broadbill is not a myth.

Here's the link.............

Would love to fish spratlys again. Unfortunately I don't think I will be able to make any long range trips next year........ too many committments man.........

But if can go........ sure must break out those large calamari baits stuffed with cyalume sticks!!!! hahaha. (although I think the barracoutas will love it.........)
