Here are some pics from my friend's just concluded Andamans trip. Highlights are an estimated 750lb black & a 550lb blue. Tackle used are Calstar & Titan customized standup blanks matched with Accurate 80N loaded with 600 yds of 130lb Jerry Brown hollow topshot with 550 yds of 130lb Sufix Superior mono.

Good stuff, what was the final total score? That photo (boatside3) looks like a very very decent fish. All fish caught on lures or did they do some baitfishing?

Hi D,

Think that was the estimated 750 pounder. Final tally was I think 7 (correction -- total 9) bills including one good sail. Only one blue. The rest were blacks. All on lures. The fishes were apparently harder to come by this year.

Sorry Lancer .... I don't really know because most of my kakis are trolling fanatics when we go fishing such locations. I'm pretty sure if you go with a charter who is experienced in jgging or who is willing to try out this method, the fishes are there.
