» Rod choice for extrem jigging in New Caledonia

Aug 28, 2008 - 11:05 AM - by ccornaille
Hi everyone!
I need your advice because i would like to acquire an ultra powerful jigging rod for New Caledonia but I do not know what to choose. I want to fish wih line up to 80lb because it has not been enough this year to stop two big doggie before the Barrier Reef . I would therefore like to fish with 100lb (110 or 130lb is this unreasonable?) line. The reel is a stella 20000 and I fish in 100 to 180 metres deep with a jig 200g to 400g. I measure 1m90 and my weight is 85kg

Anyone used the H or HH model before? Pros? Cons? Thinking of using it for pond/light shore plugging with my Van Staal 150 +16lb nylon lines. Many thanks in advance for your precious inputs
